America's first "Facebook President" - You Betcha!

I've said this before but I'll say it again. I think Governor Palin is amazing for not playing into the corrupt media's hands. The corrupt media is a hostile den of vipers salivating at the chance to destroy her with her own words. Katie Couric and Tina Fey have won numerous awards for their part in tarnishing Governor Palin's image. And recently, the so-called conservative bloggers and right-leaning news sites have attempted to destroy her career in a campaign seemingly coordinated amongst them. The Governor got burned by The Daily Caller as recently as last month, a place where one would usually assume to be friendly to the conservative cause - not anymore! It seems like any outlet can fall prey to knocking Palin around for ratings.

So I'm happy she's stuck with getting her message out her own way using Facebook, Twitter, editorial pages and other means where the corrupt media can't twist her words and make her seem like something she's not. She's untouchable that way. Most of the establishment Republicans have criticized her for not going on the "Sunday shows" like candidates in years past. Well, I think she's smart for avoiding them. Who watches them anyway? And why take the chance that they'll edit her a' la' Katie Couric, or that others would take a soundbite out of context and use it from here to eternity incorrectly. The critics look like pathetic zookeepers trying to lure her into that den of vipers with any kind of bait possible. Not gonna happen.

If they think Palin has no chance...why are they making a movie about her?

I found this on Creative Minority Report. HBO is making a movie about Sarah Palin's 2008 VP candidacy, in which Julianne Moore will play Palin. CMR reminds us that Moore is an advocate for Planned Parenthood and gay marriage in real life.

Given that, who else could Hollywood possibly have considered to star as Sarah Palin in a new HBO movie? Conservatives all over the country are resting easy knowing that this should be the fairest portrayal of a conservative hero since Barbra Streisand's husband James Brolin played Ronald Reagan.

All most of Hollywood and the corrupt media thinks Palin is a joke, a loser and has no chance of winning. Yet they are making movies about her, and constantly talk about her. Will HBO make a movie about Mitt Romney? Have they even made one about The One yet? Why does she take up so much space in their heads if they hate her so much and think she'll lose easily? Because they know the truth: Palin would absolute destroy President Putt-Putt in 2012 if she decides to run. They're doing everything in their power to discourage her from running. I agree with CMR, let's just ignore this HBO movie. We already know it's going to be full of lies and slander and be a ridiculous portrayal of Palin. It's not worth the energy to get worked up about it.

Proof that corrupt media will tear down any GOP nominee

Last night I was watching "Conan," the new late-night talk show hosted by Conan O'Brien. In the opening monologue he made a "joke" about Newt Gingrich and his adulterous past. Gingrich is currently exploring his options for running for president.

This appears to be the way they will attack Gingrich if he decides to run. This "joke" was like a trial balloon for the new JournoList. It also fits into Alinski rules quite well. Attack a candidate personally instead of on the issues. Ignore all his policy ideas; ignore the fact that Gingrich has admitted and apologized for his adultery - just keep harping on that one thing over and over. Remember when they wouldn't shut up about how many cars and houses the McCains have?

This is proof that any GOP candidate no matter who it is, will be attacked and systematically dismantled by the corrupt media. Don't fall for the "she's unelectable because of Tina Fey" excuse for Sarah Palin. If not Palin, they'd be making fun of any other GOP candidate. Gingrich hasn't even formally announced that he will run and they're already attacking him. This is going to be a very tough race.

Washed-up brainless actress tries to decide what's best for Alaska

Ashley Judd, a washed-up actress, is part of the Hollywood idiotti that spouts their political views to anyone who will listen. In Judd's case, it appears to be an attempt to generate pub for herself, in order to remind movie makers that she's still alive and needs to make money. I can't remember any recent movie she was in, and I won't be bothered to look up this twit on IMDB.

A new website launched this week called "Eye on Palin; Her Anti-Wolf, Anti-Wildlife Agenda," and Ashley Judd made a video slamming Palin for her "anti-wolf" policies. It's clear that Judd is uninformed and didn't do any research on this issue. Also, this is clearly an attempt by the Left to release a "shocking" video to fear-monger voters against Palin.

The bottom line is, a washed-up uninformed Hollywood actress has no business telling the people in Alaska what's best for them. The practice she's speaking of is brutal but there may be a good reason for its use. This affects such a small group of Alaskans. I will never know what it's like to rely on moose and caribou meat for my family. This practice deeply affects Alaskans and their livelihood - far be it for me, or anyone else not familiar with the situation, to condemn them. I'm not the one living there and dealing with wildlife on a daily basis, and relying on it for food. If I feel it's an important issue then I will research it thoroughly and make a decision, not simply watch an Ashley Judd youtube video. Please.

And what we may find, after research, probably is that Palin isn't even the one in charge of making these decisions.

Alaskans depend on wildlife for food and cultural practices which can’t be sustained when predators are allowed to decimate moose and caribou populations. Our predator control programs are scientific and successful at protecting vulnerable wildlife. These audacious fundraising attempts misrepresent what goes on in Alaska, and I encourage people to learn the facts about Alaska’s positive record of managing wildlife for abundance.

Shame on the Defenders of Wildlife for twisting the truth in an effort to raise funds from innocent and hard-pressed Americans struggling with these rough economic times."

This reminds me of farmers and ranchers who have to kill prairie dogs because of their digging holes in the farmland. Livestock break their legs tripping on the holes, resulting in death. The holes also destroy massive amounts of crops. People not familiar with the situation are shocked that prairie dogs would have to be killed but it's a necessary part of raising livestock and growing crops. If fringe groups tried to stop the removal of prairie dogs, then the agriculture business would suffer greatly. So, this is another case in which people who don't have to live and die by the business should keep their mouths shut.

One bright spot from this stupid video is that this issue was previously discussed at length, ad nauseam, during the presidential campaign last year. The Left decided to bring it back up - again. The reason? There's nothing left for them to vilify Palin with. They're just going to keep throwing these baseless accusations at her again and again because there's nothing there. This makes me happy because if something were there, it would have been found out by now.

So instead of fostering a discussion or debate about her political views, the Left demonizes her and vilifies her, and uses fear-mongering tactics to turn people against her. The problem with that is people aren't stupid - no matter what MSM tries to do the public still can't get enough of Palin. They want to hear what she has to say. It's backfiring on MSM big time.

The embarrassing stupidity of Hollywood

Hollywood award shows are the platform that brainless, airhead actors use to plug their unfounded, un-researched political beliefs. I used to get upset at the acceptance speeches-turned-political-diatribes but now it's just laughable. Take for instance, last night's Golden Globes.

Tom Hanks had a gem of a comment last night regarding Prop 8 passing. "It's un-American." Yeah. The state of California passes laws by proposition, these are laws the citizens vote on. Whatever is the majority vote, wins, and becomes the law. How exactly is that not American? He added: "You put some good commercials on the air, you can convince anybody of anything." He's referring to some commercials paid for by the Morman Church in support of Prop 8. Not only is Hanks is apparently against free speech, but against the right to support propositions of your choosing. He also fails to recognize that his beloved Barack Obama is against gay marriage, and Prop 8 was passed largely by blacks and Hispanics. His little dig "you can convince anybody of anything" reeks of elitism, and his view that the citizens of California are just idiots who will vote for whatever is on TV.

Laura Dern (remember her from Jurassic Park? Yeah, didn't think so) decided to take a jab at Sarah Palin. Wow - that's a shocker. Who is Laura Dern again, and why is she at this awards show?

Anne Hathaway is upset that Obama picked Pastor Rick Warren to give the invocation at the Inauguration and wants him to "explain that choice." It's amazing to me how the people who thought nothing was wrong with Rev. Jeremiah Wright are now up-in-arms mad about Rick Warren.

I know there are actors who are passionate about their work, and the art of movies and plays. The dolts who parade around Hollywood spewing their political beliefs give real actors a bad name. I don't think artists should use their stage as a political platform. It takes away from the purpose of the art and it's a slap in the face to the people who paid good money to see their movies and bought their albums.

Heath Ledger's win wasn't the only thing that got stars emotional backstage at the Globes Prop 8 did it, too!

"It's un-American," Tom Hanks, who nabbed a Globe for producing the terribly popular John Adams, told me. I asked Hanks, one of the Biz's most politically astute members, why he thought the gay-marriage-banning proposition had passed, helped largely by huge sums of media money funneled through the pro-Prop 8 Mormon church. "You put some good commercials on the air," deadpanned (accurately) the two-time Oscar winner, "you can convince anybody of anything."

Hanks was adamant that the Prop should be overturned by the California Supreme Court and that folks should be able to marry who they wish. "Love is love," he twinkled with a knowing fire. Amen, bro.

Also feeling some political oats was Laura Dern. Seconds after winning her Golden Globe for playing overly made-up Katherine Harris in HBO's Recount, Laura said that other mascara addict Sarah Palin should get lost. But she was very polite about it!

When I asked Dern, svelte in Marc Jacobs, what course would she suggest for the infamous recent veep candidate, she at first lampooned the abuse of the word "rogue" in connection with Palin. Then she laid down the benevolent law: "I wish much happiness for Sarah Palin and her family," Dern professed with a killer half smile, which she obviously perfected playing the not-so-genuine Harris.

"In Alaska."

Message received loud 'n' clear, Laura-love. And congrats!
