Shock has worn off, more thoughts

I wrote the other day that Sarah is a whole 'nother animal (politically). She is unconventional. She has a history of bucking tradition. She is not your typical politician. I'll have to wait and see what she says exactly about her future but it seems like she is NOT giving up politics. For most, resigning from the current office you hold is a sign of weakness. But I think for Sarah this could be a really good decision for her, and not a sign of weakness. I'm going to post about my thoughts on her speech tomorrow.

I have a different perspective now after watching MSM scramble over this. They are running scared, that much is obvious. Sarah is free to fight back with the gloves off. If you heard her speech you know she's fighting.

"...you're naïve if you don't see the national full-court press picking away right now: A good point guard drives through a full court press, protecting the ball, keeping her eye on the basket... and she knows exactly when to pass the ball so that the team can WIN. And I'm doing that - keeping our eye on the ball that represents sound priorities - smaller government, energy independence, national security, freedom! And I know when it's time to pass the ball - for victory."
"We need those who will respect our Constitution where government's supposed to serve from the BOTTOM UP, not move toward this TOP DOWN big government take-over... but rather, will be protectors of individual rights - who also have enough common sense to acknowledge when conditions have drastically changed and are willing to call an audible and pass the ball when it's time so the team can win! And that is what I'm doing!"

"In the words of General MacArthur said, 'We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.'"
Oh hell yes she's fighting. I'm going to post more thoughts tomorrow.

Hey Adrienne, Have you seent his disgusting column, yet?
via Newsbusters:

In Sarah Palin's resignation announcement she complained about the treatment of her son Trig who always teaches her life lessons. She said that the "world needs more Trigs, not fewer." That's a presidential campaign promise we can all get behind. She will be the first politician to actually try to increase the population of retarded people. To me, it's kinda like saying the world needs more cancer patients because they teach us such personal lessons.

Her first act as President: To introduce a Pre-K lunch buffet that includes lead paint chips. Sort of a Large HEAD-START Program.

She will then encourage women to hold off on pregnancies until their 40's just to mix up some chromosomes.

She now is in favor of abortion only in case of diploid birth.

Her policies will increase jobs because Wal-Mart is building new stores each day and someone has to be the greeter.

This will lead to smaller government because fewer Americans will have the cognitive ability to hold a government job

Wow. Is this what passes for comedy today?

It will be interesting to see how long this post stays up before someone at HuffPo pulls it.

Stay tuned.

*****Update: The article has been pulled, apparantly by the author who claimed: "I got some emails from offended loved ones of the retarded. No one was seeing the absurdity of Palin hiding behind her children, so my piece was not accomplishing anything good."

Oops, sorry. It was linked to HuffPo, but as you read, it was already taken down.
Talk about disgusting, unprofessional and cowardice.

Oh my gosh!!! What a horrible disgusting article!!! HuffPo is just vile trash. And his reason for pulling it was even worse - some friends were offended (he didn't see it as offensive), thinks Palin is "hiding behind her children" - are you kidding me? What a disgusting pig.

Pig?? That's to good for this no-talent far-left liberal hack. Why doesn't Todd fly down to some of these offices and lossen some of their chicklettes for them? I would.
