Sarah Palin's endorsement for 2012
However, if it looks like Palin supporters are so disenchanted by next year that they aren't going to the voting booth, then I think she'll come out and tell us to vote Republican, even if it's Romney or Perry. She loves the country too much to see Obama win (again) due to apathetic voters.

Question: Would you make the effort to attend the Palin inauguration?
Would you attend Sarah Palin's inauguration should she be elected as POTUS?
It will be a monumental event, especially if it's the next term. It will end Obama's socialist/communist agenda then and there (and after only one term!). She is a strong conservative and the polar opposite of him policy-wise. Every sane person will breathe a sigh of relief when she's elected. Not to mention the fact that she'll be the first woman president.
I've thought about it a lot. Personally, she's my favorite candidate (of course) and a huge personal inspiration to me. I waited in line for hours in the dark and braved sub-30 degree weather to attend her book signing. I've written this blog for over two years following her career since the 2008 election. I've read her books, watch every speech I can, read transcripts, watch her interviews and TV appearances. I will help with her campaign should she run, in any way I can. But that's all from the comfort and convenience of my home and local city.
By 2013, my daughter will be two and we'll most likely not have taken a family vacation yet. I don't know if we could take her to a big event like that with her being only two. However, I think it would be an important event for her to attend and say she was there later in life. But if we don't take her, I don't even think I could go alone and leave her at home. Also, would it be worth the cost? On one hand, it's something we could watch on TV. On the other, it's a monumental point in history that I would greatly love to see in person.
I don't know. What do you think? We've always said that if our favorite sports team ever ended up in the championship game/series we would go, since it doesn't happen very often. Sarah Palin being inaugurated as POTUS would be on an epically larger scale than a sports team, to me. Would you travel to attend her inauguration, or the inauguration of someone you really liked and inspired you? If so, who?

At Redstate, Palin leads preferred pick for GOP 2012 candidate by a landslide
![]() |

But ever-present is Romney's quest for power and these online poll results, not matter how small an insignificant they seem to be, will sting Romney bad. He and his minions go online all day trolling conservative sites trying to pump him up and put Palin down. He is probably the #1 political insider who spreads nasty rumors and myths about Palin.
From HillBuzz:
I know this Redstate poll is just a poll on a website, but if the Romney Guys lose control of places like Redstate, Ace of Spades, and other conservative sites…it makes it that much harder for them to carry out their Romney 2012 plans because they were counting on lockstep support from the usual suspects to install this “it’s his turn!” candidate for the next presidential race.I certainly hope so.

Rasmussen: 59% of GOP Voters Say Palin Shares Their Values
I know Palinmania has arrived with her Oprah appearance today and the book coming out tomorrow. I just wanted to pass this along because it is great news! It shows that we're not going to let the corrupt media pick our candidates anymore. More and more Republicans are supporting Palin and breaking away from the GOP RINO tendencies.
Rasmussen: 59% of GOP Voters Say Palin Shares Their Values [Robert Costa]
From Rasmussen:
Fifty-nine percent (59%) of Republican voters say former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin shares the values of most GOP voters throughout the nation.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 21% of Republican voters disagree and think the 2008 vice presidential candidate does not share their values. Twenty percent (20%) are undecided.
By contrast, 74% of Republicans say their party’s representatives in Congress have lost touch with GOP voters nationwide over the past several years. Only 18% of Republican voters believe their elected officials have done a good job representing the base.
The findings in these two surveys highlight the political debate within the Republican Party. Party leaders worry that Palin is pushing the GOP too far to the right to win general elections by aligning herself with Tea Party voters frustrated with both parties in Washington and the big government policies they have produced.
Still, just 18% of Republicans - and 26% of voters nationwide - see Palin as a divisive force within the GOP. A plurality believes Palin is representative of a new direction for the Republican Party. That view is held by 57% of Republicans and 41% of all voters. A plurality of Democrats aren’t sure what to think of Palin’s role within the opposing party.

Nothing to see here! Move along!
Well, today Obama's approval rating index is at -8, which means there are 38% who strongly disapprove of Obama, and 30% who strongly approve: 8% more disapproving.
Where's the media now?? Crickets.
*I've decided to call MSM "corrupt media" for the time being.

Family first Sarah
"The Palins are expecting the return of eldest son Track this weekend from a yearlong deployment with an Army combat brigade in Iraq," Palin spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton told The Washington Times. "Mrs. Palin also has her first major paid speaking engagement in Hong Kong" in a few days, she added. The Left always tries to paint Palin as an aggressive career-opportunist, foaming at the mouth at any chance to get on TV and makes speeches. Absolutely not true. She's always put her family first as she should, which is why we love her.
Mike Huckabee ended up winning the Value Voters Summit straw poll - congratulations to him.

Good news: Gallup reports that conservatives outnumber liberals
Gallup's latest poll reports that conservatives outnumber liberals in all 50 states. That's big!
Conservatives Now Outnumber Liberals in All 50 States, Says Gallup Poll
Monday, August 17, 2009
By Terence P. Jeffrey, Editor-in-Chief
(CNSNews.com) - Self-identified conservatives outnumber self-identified liberals in all 50 states of the union, according to the Gallup Poll.
At the same time, more Americans nationwide are saying this year that they are conservative than have made that claim in any of the last four years.
In 2009, 40% percent of respondents in Gallup surveys that have interviewed more than 160,000 Americans have said that they are either “conservative” (31%) or “very conservative” (9%). That is the highest percentage in any year since 2004.
Only 21% have told Gallup they are liberal, including 16% who say they are “liberal” and 5% who say they are “very liberal.”
Thirty-five percent of Americans say they are moderate.
During Republican President George W. Bush’s second term, the number of self-identified conservatives as measured by Gallup dropped, riding at a low of 37% as recently as last year.
According to new data released by Gallup on Friday, conservatives outnumber liberals in all 50 states--including President Obama’s home state of Illinois--even though Democrats have a significant advantage over Republicans in party identification in 30 states.
“In fact, while all 50 states are, to some degree, more conservative than liberal (with the conservative advantage ranging from 1 to 34 points), Gallup's 2009 party ID results indicate that Democrats have significant party ID advantages in 30 states and Republicans in only 4,” said an analysis of the survey results published by Gallup.
“Despite the Democratic Party's political strength-- seen in its majority representation in Congress and in state houses across the country--more Americans consider themselves conservative than liberal,” said Gallup’s analysis.

Poll: Virginia Voters Prefer Palin to Obama
Poll: Virginia Voters Prefer Palin to Obama
The Washington Independent
By David Weigel 8/5/09 12:18 PM
Buried inside the new Public Policy Polling survey of Virginia are two questions: How would voters react if President Obama campaigned for a Democratic candidate, and how would they react if former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) campaigned for the Republican?
The answer, in a state that voted 53-46 for Barack Obama in last year’s election? More people would go for Palin’s candidate, although most voters would prefer that neither politician weigh in. By a 35-26 margin, voters say they’d be less likely to support a Republican candidate if Palin campaigned for him. But by a 37-14 margin, voters say they’d be less likely to support the Democrat if Obama campaigned for him.
This comes in a poll that finds dramatically lower Democratic enthusiasm for the 2009 elections, and PPP president Dean Debnam explains that Democratic gubernatorial candidate Creigh Deeds is lagging because the voters activated to vote for Obama in 2008 were not paying attention to this race. “Somewhat counter intuitively Barack Obama’s poor numbers are exactly why Creigh Deeds needs the President to campaign for him,” said Debnam.![]()

Only happiness and fighting spirit at picnic
Palin's Wasilla picnic draws a crowd
Daily News staff and wire reports

WASILLA — Thousands showed up Friday for Gov. Sarah Palin’s annual picnic held in her hometown of Wasilla.
Palin, who is resigning and leaves office on Sunday, used the occasion, one of a series of picnics she is hosting this weekend, to sign autographs and hand out hot dogs.
The governor — dressed in blue jeans and a red New England Patriots sweatshirt — was mobbed by well-wishers who offered up babies, books, calendars, skateboards and even their hands for autographs. Several longtime picnic-goers said this year’s picnic crowd dwarfed last year’s.
Event coordinators planned for about 5,000 attendees. They roasted 4,008 hot dogs and had fixings for about 4,000 root-beer floats.
By the last hour of the event, the dogs were almost gone.
The picnics, which have become more popular in Wasilla since Palin was elected as governor, have previously drawn as many as 2,000 people.
Wasilla Chamber director Lyn Carden said she fielded calls this week from numerous out-of-state travelers who changed their plans to attend in hopes of meeting Palin. Some were interested in one-on-one time with the governor. Others wanted to know if they could buy mementos — such as a lock of Palin’s hair — at the event, organizer Lyn Carden said.
Kealoha Torres, who lives in Wasilla near the park, boosted his 6-year-old daughter, Leina, to his shoulders to get a good photo of Palin handing out hot dogs over the crush of people around the food tent. He said his family members from Washington state were risking missing their flight home to see Palin.
“They don’t care; they want to see her,” Torres said. “She has a lot of supporters in Washington.”
Fred Kostrick, an 84-year-old World War II veteran from Michigan who attended the event, said he appreciated Palin’s support of the military. “I think she’s one hell of a lady,” he said. “She’s tough, she stands her ground and she’s taken a lot of guff — more than I could.”

Rasmussen's 2012 Match-up Poll
If the 2012 presidential election were held today, President Obama and possible Republican nominee Mitt Romney would be all tied up at 45% each, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
The president, seeking a second four-year term, beats another potential GOP rival, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, by six points – 48% to 42%.
In both match-ups, seven percent (7%) like some other candidate, with three percent (3%) undecided.

Palin enjoying last days as Governor among grateful Alaskans
Palin: Alaska tour is thanks, not goodbye
By MATTHEW DALY (AP) – 1 hour ago
UNALAKLEET, Alaska — She was greeted like a rock star in Unalakleet, a fishing village on the Bering Sea. She danced with Eskimos in Kotzebue. And she watched grizzlies at a wildlife sanctuary on the Kenai Peninsula.
In all, Sarah Palin has been on eight trips outside her Anchorage base since announcing her resignation two weeks ago. Is this a farewell tour, the start of a possible presidential campaign for 2012?
Palin insists it isn't, although she still won't say what plans she has after she steps down as Alaska governor on July 26, with 18 months left to her first term.
"I am Alaskan. I've grown up here and I'm going to remain in Alaska," she told The Associated Press in an interview. "It's not farewell, it's more like thanks for letting me be here and I'll see you soon."
Palin has largely avoided the media limelight in the past two weeks and dodged questions about her future plans. But she hints she has a bigger role in mind, and she plans to launch her new platform by speaking her mind on the social networking site Twitter.
Palin said she is eager to begin life as a private citizen.
"Once I am 'Sarah Palin, Alaskan,' I can really call it like I see it," she said.
Palin waves off any talk of running for president.
"I look forward to continuing to work for Alaska and for energy independence and for the contribution that Alaska could and should be making to allow our nation to be more secure and more prosperous," she said.
Some have speculated she plans to build on her near celebrity status as a conservative talk show host, perhaps for Fox News, or launch a lucrative speaking tour. If her reception Friday in Unalakleet is any indication, she has a strong base of support.
More than 100 people packed a community center and bingo hall to greet the outgoing governor as she signed a bill continuing state subsidies for rural electricity.
The town, known locally as the place where the East wind blows, was an unlikely stop during Palin's final days. A remote collection of unpaved streets on the Bering Sea, the town is so remote that is only reachable by plane and most residents get around by ATV or by foot. There are few cars.
But this is what Palin loves best: Reaching out to Alaskans, no matter how remote. She barely had time to eat lunch — king crab and salmon and a barrage of homemade desserts — as families surged toward her, trying to shake her hand and get an autograph. Pictures of the governor were not enough. Residents wanted to talk to her and pose with her, even as an aide tried in vain to shield the governor and then get her to leave quietly.
Palin smiled through it all, basking in the attention. She nodded sympathetically as a man told her of a relative in Iraq. She hugged a mother whose baby has Down syndrome, as does Palin's youngest child Trig. She signed every post card and datebook thrust in front of her.
Palin says Alaska voters have accepted her decision to resign, even as she continues to receive criticism from the national media and even some fellow Republicans who question her decision to leave with 18 months left in her four-year term.
"We don't give a damn how they do it outside," she said, quoting a popular state bumper sticker. "We do it a different way up here. The pioneer spirit runs strong."

New poll: Palin remains popular in Alaska
Posted by Alaska_Politics
Posted: March 17, 2009 - 4:18 pm

From David Hulen in Anchorage --
A new poll from Hays Research Group shows Gov. Palin remains popular among Alaskans. This tracks with other polls in recent months. While her negatives have increased and her off-the-charts positives have fallen, she still has strong approval ratings.
The results:
Very positive 40.5 percent
Somewhat positive 20.8 percent
Somewhat negative 12.5 percent
Very negative 20.2 percent
Don't know/Didn't answer 6 percent
The sample: 400 people age 18 and over interviewed by phone statewide on March 13. From the Hays Web site: "The survey sample used was a computer generated random list derived from a database of all households within the State of Alaska with working telephone numbers who have at least one member who has voted in at least two of the last four local or state elections."
Margin of error: 4.9 percent.
Anchorage pollster Ivan Moore had similar results when he polled 500 Alaskans in January, and a poll commissioned in December by the left-leaning Daily Kos had Palin approval numbers in the same ballpark.

Gallup Poll says Palin tops list among Republicans for 2012
No sooner had Barack Obama won the presidential election than pundits started looking to 2012 and possible Republican challengers. A Gallup Poll asked people to rank the top 10 candidates they would like to run. Topping the list: Sarah Palin (67 percent), Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee. Second to last: Gov. Charlie Crist (23 percent), one below former Gov. Jeb Bush (31 percent). The telephone poll was taken Nov. 5-16 and included 799 Republicans and GOP-leaning independents, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
This is an interesting poll because it targeted only Republicans. It shows where we are in our re-building process. At this point, it doesn't matter as much what Democrats think about Palin because they probably wouldn’t vote for any Republican candidate. But Palin’s status among the GOP is very important. That the majority of Republicans in this poll embrace Palin’s ideology gives me such hope for the party. It means that hopefully there will be a shift toward fiscal conservatism in our future. She said during her stump speeches for Chambliss that this is the time to rebuild the party. And I have always believed this is why Palin is so popular – Republicans love her conservative ideals and are so ready to get back to them again. After eight years of Clinton, and eight years of compassionate conservative Bush, it’s time to get back to the Right.
